How fur removal works
Fur removal combines dematting and de-shedding. We bathe with a conditioner that loosens the undercoat, then use a high-velocity dryer to blow out loose fur. Mats are worked out by hand where it is safe, and a full rake and brush-out pulls the rest. We check the skin as we go.
Year-round heat means Fort Lauderdale pets shed all year, and coats that stay damp from pools and canals mat fast in the humidity. Regular fur removal keeps both under control.
It is not a shave. Shaving a double coat can change how it grows back and does not keep a dog cooler. If mats sit tight against the skin, a shorter clip is kinder, and we check with you before we cut anything.
We remove mats and shedding fur at homes across Fort Lauderdale, from waterfront homes in Coral Ridge and Harbor Beach to Victoria Park and Rio Vista.

Questions about fur removal
It is dematting and de-shedding in one visit. Mats are worked out and loose undercoat is blown and brushed out, so the coat lies flat and the skin can breathe.
Dogs shed in response to daylight and temperature, and here there is no real winter to trigger one big seasonal shed. The result is steady shedding all year. Fur removal every 6 to 8 weeks takes out the loose undercoat before it ends up on your floors.
We work out what we can without pulling. If mats sit tight against the skin, a shorter clip is kinder, and we check with you before we shave anything.
We don’t recommend it. The double coat protects the skin from sun and heat. Fur removal takes out the dead undercoat and leaves that protection in place.
Yes. Long-haired cats like Persians and Maine Coons mat easily in our humidity. We work slowly and take breaks whenever your cat needs one.
